It's part of plans to increase sports for the city's youngsters
A new dodgeball club for children is coming to Salisbury
Salisbury City Council is looking to increase the sporting opportunities for local children.
This latest idea follows the success of the Harnham Crocodiles Cricket project, and its community activity leaders are excited to be offering a new dodgeball club.
Supported by District Sports, the new club will run an initial 6 week programme at Sarum Academy from 6pm-7pm on Tuesdays from 15th June until 20th July.
Salisbury City Council says:
"Children in school years 4-6 are welcome to take part. Dodgeball is a great activity for children and can improve agility, reactions and all-round fitness. Most of all its great fun, easy to learn and anyone can play!"
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
The City Council is subsidising places for this initial 6 week block, reducing the price to £4 per session or £20 for 6.
For families finding the costs prohibitive, assistance with funding will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If you have any questions about accessibility for children with additional needs, the coaches will be happy to talk to you. Spaces are limited, however it's hoped more sessions will be run in the next academic year.
