After a refurbishment and a change in management, Downton Leisure Centre has reopened today (Thursday 10th September).

People are being allowed back to use the gym and other facilities using online booking.

The contract to manage the site was up for re-tender at the start of this year and 'Gymies', and it's owner Dave Taylor, was chosen to run it.

New signage for Downton Leisure Centre

Gymies did have a premises on Salisbury's Blakey Road until March 2019, when they were forced to close due to the lease on their building coming to an end.

Lots of building and renovation work has been taking place at their new site over lockdown, including new signage, new sunbed and gym equipment.

BOOKING PROBLEMS

Gymies have said that their online booking system is having a few issues at the moment.

They hope it is back working, but anyone who struggles with can pop into the club and sort it out that way.
