Firefighters have rescued a horse stuck in mud in the Test Valley.

They were called to the village of Mottisfont, near Romsey, just after 6.00pm last night (Thurs 17 March).

Crews from Romsey Fire Station, the Overton Fire Station Animal Rescue unit, Winchester Fire Station and officers from the RSPCA turned out to help.

Unfortunately the horse had sustained a number of injuries and had been stuck for quite a while.
