Lucky escape for couple after tree crashed onto holiday home near Fordingbridge

A couple have had a lucky escape after a tree landed on the annex of the holiday let in Salisbury Road, Burgate, on Tuesday morning.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service cut away the tree which was blocking the stairway out.

Crews said on twitter it would certainly be a "holiday to remember".
