Man arrested on suspicion of murder after death of woman in Tisbury

Investigations continue in the Wiltshire village

Police were called to a residential address on the Churchill Estate in Tisbury shortly before 6pm following the discovery of a woman's body.

A 25 year old man was arrested on suspicion of murder connection with the incident, he's since been released under investigation.

A police cordon remains in place at the woman’s home and Wiltshire Police say its enquiries continue to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.

Community policing Inspector Al Lumley said:

“Our thoughts are with the family and friends of this woman at this difficult time. Members of the public can be assured that there is nothing to suggest any risk to the wider community.

"Those living in the area will notice an increased police presence especially around the Churchill Estate area as our investigations continue. If anyone has any concerns please speak to our officers at the scene. ”
