A roadside memorial to remember two children who died in a crash on the A36 in Wiltshire has been damaged repeatedly.

It was created by the family of 17 year old Jackson Watters and his sister Millie Crouch, 12, close to the spot in Steeple Langford where the pair died in October 2016.

Over the past few months Wiltshire Police have received two separate reports of criminal damage at the site on the side of the road.

The first was in April, and the second occurred some time between 11th and 23rd July.

PC Ruth Wright said:

“These incidents, where flowers and memorial items have been removed and thrown around, have caused an incredible amount of distress for the family.

“This is a site which obviously holds a huge sentimental value for the family, and is something they have created to remember these two children who so tragically died.

“We are carrying out enquiries and would urge anyone with information to please get in touch.”

If you know anything about the damage you should call 101, quoting crime reference 54220077739.
