"End of an era": Restaurant near Salisbury closes after 20 years

A restaurant on the A30 just outside of Salisbury has closed it's doors after 20 years of trading.
The Haven in Firsdown shut down on the 31st of January.
It was owned by the parents of British Racing driver Dan Wells, Trevor and Ann, while it was run by his sister Kirsty.
In a post on Twitter, The Haven said:
"It's been an emotional run - many, many happy memories were made here and we loved serving our customers over the years. It is the end of an era - and we will be eternally grateful, especially for the assistance from the public during 2021 especially. #GoodbyeSupersunshine"
In May last year Dan Wells tweeted asking for people to support the restaurant, after taking just £82 in a day.
He received almost 24,000 likes and they saw a big rise in customers turning up.
WHAT'S HAPPENING TO THE BUILDING?
On Facebook, Thyme and Tides Deli in Stockbridge have confirmed that they will be opening a second branch in the former restaurant building.
It will be a deli, café and shop and say they hope to open in April.
Their post said:
"BIG NEWS! We are delighted to share with you we are opening a second shop on the outskirts of Salisbury.
Thyme & Tides Firsdown will be opening in the Spring & we cannot wait. The new site will be a deli, cafe & shop with 50 parking spaces plus a large outside green area - the perfect place to relax & meet friends for coffee or something to eat.
Stockbridge will remain as is so do not worry, that will not be changing. We will still have with the same lovely team, great menu, coffee & fresh fish counter.
We are so excited for this new chapter & cannot wait to open the doors & welcome you in April."
