Salisbury City Council has said it is 'very disappointed' to announce that it has cancelled Salisbury Charter Fair this year.

The annual fair in the city's Guildhall Square and Market Place was due to take place in October.

The move by Salisbury City Council follows a discussion with Public Health England.

CROWD RISKS & SOCIAL DISTANCING

Salisbury City Council's Events Team have concluded that the monitoring of crowd control and social distancing is unfeasible and would come at a substantial cost.

The Council's continuing to assess the impact of the Coronavirus pandemic on events due to take place later this year.

It will update its website and social media with any changes made.
