The Salisbury Foodbank centre at St Paul's Church has reopened for the first time since lockdown.

Anyone in receipt of a food bank referral voucher can go to the site on Mondays between 11-2 to redeem it.

Historically, it is the charity's main centre in the city which would see the largest footfall through the door.

It has become just the second Salisbury Foodbank centre to reopen since the country was put into lockdown, after the one in Amesbury.

They say that it's a start to their slow return to normality and continues to strengthen their foodbank outreach five days a week.

A number of safety measures will be in place to make sure the site is Covid secure.

These include:

  • Sanitising hands
  • Wearing a mask
  • Observing social distancing and the one way system

The Trussell Trust are forecasting a huge increase in demand for this winter, so any help is being appreciated.
