Salisbury man charged with serious sexual assault in 1980

A man from Salisbury was arrested yesterday (Tuesday 29th June) in connection with a non-recent serious sexual assault.

Kenny Wells, of Verona Road, has been charged with rape, burglary and false imprisonment.

The charges relate to an incident in Collingbourne Ducis in November 1980.

The 62 year old appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court today and has been remanded in custody.

He will appear at Salisbury Crown Court on the 30th July.
