Hundreds of pounds have been raised by current and retired railway staff in Salisbury, in support of a creative youth project in the city.

The tRAILblazers group, with connections to both Network Rail and South Western Railway, took part in a sponsored walk last month.

They've now handed £1,400 to the Underground Studios project, based at the Harnham Bunker.

Alex Mobaraki, a director at The Underground Studios said:

"This money is amazing and we are really grateful to the guys at Salisbury station for their support. It's exciting to know that we can help more kids learn an instrument, learn to code and just be creative. It will make a real difference to a lot of young people in Salisbury."

The project provides workshops and 1-2-1 tuition in creative activities like music, media, gaming and coding for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

tRAILblazers has been in existence since 2009, and has since raised thousands of pounds for local good causes, through various sponsored walks.
