Salisbury gets spruce up as we move towards end of lockdown
A spring clean is underway to brighten up our city
Salisbury BID is working proactively to get the city ready for re-opening.
Shops, hairdressers, gyms and outdoor hospitality are due to reopen on 12 April under the government's roadmap**** announced last month.
Following feedback from local businesses the BID identified areas that could be improved ahead of lockdown easing.
City Ranger Andy Milton has got underway with the task cleaning signs, re-painting, and removing signposts from the central car park that are either old or redundant.
BID Business Manager, Dan Collins, says:
"Now that we have a roadmap out of lockdown we can work towards making our city look its best in time for welcoming visitors back. We know first impressions mean a lot so the work Salisbury BID and Salisbury City Council is undertaking will make sure visitors see our city in the best light. We want to encourage people back and this is just one of the ways we hope to do that.”
Several city centre businesses have also started sprucing up their businesses ready for re-opening too.
