£55,000 is to be spent on upgrades to the main shower and toilet block for Salisbury's Camping and Caravanning Club site.

The facilities at Hudson's Field will 'provide an enhanced experience for users of the site'.

The smaller shower block underwent a similar refurb last year.

The City Council's investing in the facilities as the owner of the site, while it's managed by the Camping and Caravanning Club of Great Britain.

It generates around £175,000 for the authority each year, so they've said:

"It is important to keep it well maintained and an attractive place to stay for all those who visit.

"The sloping and spacious site boasts lovely views over the hill fort of Old Sarum and is ideally situated to explore some of Wiltshire’s best attractions."
