Teenage boy assaulted in Fordingbridge town centre

The incident caused traffic to stop, so police say there will be witnesses

A 15 year old boy has suffered injuries to his face and back in an assault in Fordingbridge town centre.

Hampshire Police tell us the victim was attacked on the High Street, near the George pub, at around 3.50pm on Saturday (9th July).

A large group of young people are alleged to have been involved, with the teenager punched in the face and struck with a crutch.

The altercation spilled out into the road, causing traffic to stop, before the group broke up.
