Thruxton man charged after pedestrian struck by car

A Thruxton man's been charged and remanded in custody, in connection with a collision which left a pedestrian with serious injuries.

38 year old Jonathen Cutts, from Stanbury Road, is charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, failing to stop and dangerous driving.

It follows an incident on Picket Twenty Way in Andover just before 7.30pm on Tuesday (30th April).

A man in his 30s was struck by a vehicle and suffered serious injuries.

He was taken to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.

Police stopped a vehicle on Weyhill Road in Andover shortly afterwards and arrested the male driver.

Cutts has appeared before Basingstoke Magistrates yesterday (Thursday 2nd May) and has been remanded until a hearing at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday 5th June.
