Tisbury open garden raises over £20K for Salisbury Hospice

An open garden in Tisbury will bring more than £20,000 in to Salisbury Hospice's charity.
The annual event at Hatch House, hosted by Sir Henry and Lady Rumbold, and organised by the Tisbury Fundraising Committee, was held last Saturday (10th September).
As well as a chance to look around the beautiful gardens, there were also stalls including vintage clothes, antiques and collectibles, organic produce, ethical gifts and homewares, books, jumble and cakes.
Salisbury Hospice have thanked those involved for their support, describing the fundraising as an 'outstanding' total.
The money raised will go towards the charity's work providing care and support for those with terminal illnesses and their families.
Tamsin Murley, Community Fundraiser for Salisbury Hospice Charity said:
“I am delighted to announce the huge fundraising total for this event and express our huge gratitude to the Tisbury Committee and all extended volunteers. The continued support shown by Sir Henry & Lady Rumbold is phenomenal and they are without doubt the heart and soul of this event. We look forward to seeing you all again next year!”
The charity's also spreading the support to another Salisbury cause.
All of the items left over on the stalls from the day have been donated to Alabaré, for them to sell off in their charity shops.
That money will support homeless people in Salisbury and across the South West and Wales.
