COVID-19: Total of 109 deaths now at SDH

A man in his 60's is one of two more people to die at Salisbury District Hospital in the last 24 hours

Two more deaths have been confirmed at Salisbury District Hospital, bringing the total number of people to die after testing positive with coronavirus to 109.

In a statement this afternoon (Sat 16 Jan) regarding deaths to COVID-19 a hospital spokesperson said:

"As of 08.15am today, there are 163 in patients who have tested positive for COVID-19."

"Sadly, we can confirm that another two patients who had been cared for at Salisbury District Hospital have died."

They were a man in his sixties and a man in his eighties, and they both died on 15th January. Both patients had underlying health conditions.

The hospital added:

"Our thoughts and condolences are with the patients' families and loved ones at this very difficult and distressing time."
