There's an opportunity to help shape the area where we live in Wiltshire through a survey about life in our communities.

Wiltshire Council has put together a survey as part of the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment and will help them understand what life is really like in the county.

We can completed the survey here.

Council Leader, Richard Clewer said the data gives them the evidence they need to make the right decisions.

He said: "We work from an evidence base, we make sure that not only do we think we know what's going on and what we need to do, but we've got absolute evidence to back it up.

"If the evidence says something else, then we will change the policy and change the way we deliver services."

This latest data gathering by the council captures health data mainly but Cllr Clewer said is includes other elements of social data too.

In total, it's around 140 data points.

Cllr Clewer is urging us to take part in the survey, which is open until Sunday (5th May):

"It can be a bit dry, but this is really important, this is how we shape what's going on in your area, so please do have a look."
