Wiltshire Council has started its Severe Weather Emergency Provisions as it's predicted to fall to zero degrees or below for three consecutive nights.

This means that the council has a statutory duty to trigger SWEP for anyone who is sleeping rough.

So anyone without somewhere to sleep in the next few nights will be offered overnight accommodation.

In order to get help for tonight (Sunday 27th December) or tomorrow (28th) people in need can contact the emergency team on 0300 456 0100.

From Tuesday (29th), any rough sleepers in Salisbury will need to dial 01722 434233 up until 5pm.

After that, 0300 456 0100 is the number to contact.

Temperatures are set to be in low single figures for the next couple of days.

Tomorrow (29th Dec) morning, from midnight until 6pm, the Met Office have put a yellow weather warning in place for snow and ice in our region.

Lows of zero overnight are expected.

Meanwhile, there is set to continue for a few days, with it reaching as low as -2 by the end of the week.
