Wiltshire charity volunteers complete International Response training

Serve On members have been taking on a five day exercise in Kosovo

Ten volunteers with a Wiltshire charity have completed a five day exercise in Kosovo, towards their efforts to become International Response search and rescue staff.

The group with Serve On, based in Chilmark, have been training for two years to reach this point.

Following this final assessment, the group are qualified for callouts to help in disaster zones around the world.

Over the years, Serve On's been deployed to earthquakes in places like Haiti, Turkey and Nepal - with a total 22 international missions carried out.

Team members have been put their paces to round off their training for International Search and Rescue Responses

The current final exercise in Kosovo has included mock-up train derailments, tunnel rescues and moving heavy objects to free casualties.
