Woman injured during attempted robbery in Downton

Police are now hoping someone may have witnessed the incident take place.

At around 6:40pm on Thursday 20th August, two youths on bikes attempted to rob a woman in her 50s.

She was walking in The Borough when they approached her and attempted to grab her handbag.

In the process, the woman was pushed to the ground and suffered an injury to her wrist.

She managed to fight off the suspects before they made off in an unknown direction.

The two youths are described as boys aged between 14 and 16, wearing t-shirts, shorts and trainers and riding bikes.

Wiltshire Police are hoping someone may have witnessed the incident take place can help.
