Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for the public's help after a mobile phone was stolen in Bridgwater.

They are particularly looking for two men in connection with the incident, following a phone swap which happened after a second hand phone was advertised online.

On Saturday 8 October at around 1.30pm, two unknown men attended a property in Bridgwater to view the phone which they'd found on the internet.

During the transaction, they managed to swap the phone with a fake handset - making off with the genuine phone, all without paying.

Officers say they would like to speak to the two men pictured as they believe they have information which could aid the investigation.

The subjects of the CCTV are described as white men, both approximately 30 years old, and both spoke with a strong Irish accent.

The first man is seen wearing blue jeans, an Adidas cap and a North Face jumper.

The second man is shown wearing a black baseball cap, a black t-shirt, a grey and black North Face jacket and dark blue jeans.

If you can help Avon and Somerset Police identify these men, please contact 101 and quote reference 5222242443.

You can also use their online appeals form.
