Bognor Butlin's death: Man due in court to face manslaughter charge

A man charged with manslaughter following the death of a man at the Butlin's holiday park in Bognor is due to appear in court on Monday (November 30th).

Police were called to the holiday resort following reports of an assault on June 14th, 2019.

52-year-old Michael Loughlin, of Barton-le-Clay in Bedford, suffered a punch to the head in the incident.

He later died of his injuries at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

Billy Mongey, who is 32 and of Tooting Grove in Wandsworth, south-west London, denies a charge of manslaughter.

He has been scheduled to appear at Lewes Crown Court.
