Chichester has ended up in the top-50 worst places to live in the UK.

A public vote ranked the city 47th on the site I Live Here, which posts spoof reviews of towns and cities.

The city was the only one in anywhere in Sussex to make the list.

An article on the I Live Here website referred to Chichester as the 'Hyacinth Bucket of the South', referencing the snobbish character from comedy Keeping Up Appearances - played by Dame Patricia Routledge, who, ironically, is from the city.

It referred to the city as having 'delusions of grandeur - it wants to be Bath, Oxford or Winchester'.
