A Havant man has been jailed for five and a half years after stabbing a friend several times following an altercation.

Harry Vincent carried out the attack at an address in the town on April 7th, 2019.

The victim suffered lacerations to his left leg, right leg and right wrist which require stiches. He has since made a full recovery

22-year-old Vincent, of Dunsbury Way, Havant, was found guilty of a charge of wounding with intent and appeared at Portsmouth Crown Court on Friday (January 15th) for sentencing.

Detective Constable Carla-Marie Moore of Hampshire Constabulary said:

“This was a serious assault that could easily have had more serious consequences.

“Thankfully, assaults of this type are rare and I hope today’s sentence reassures the public that this type of crime will not be tolerated in Havant.”
