Hundreds of on-street charge points for electric vehicles are going to be installed across the Isle of Wight.

Isle of Wight Council has been given £1.6m of government money for the roll-out.

The current network of 33 public chargers will be increased to more than 500 by 2030.

The council said it wanted to plan for residents that do not have off-street parking and who will be completely reliant on the public network.
