Police say the family of a missing Isle of Wight man have been told after a body was found on a beach there.

The discovery was made at Compton Beach on Saturday evening (December 30th).

Formal identification is yet to take place, but the body is understood to be that of 59-year-old Ian Fisk from Totland Bay.

Ian had last been seen at just before 5pm on Friday on The Avenue.
