The 'Christmas Party Quiz' is being described as an 'evening of festive activities for the whole family', taking place from 7.30pm tonight (Friday 18th December).

It's also a way of getting in to the spirit with more traditional events like Christmas parties and many pantomimes cancelled for this year.

Suzie Simmons, Head of Corporate and Regional Fundraising for Naomi House & Jacksplace, said:

"This is going to be such a fun event, and we want to encourage as many people to sign up and get involved, to celebrate Christmas together while supporting their local children's hospice. It's not just one of our traditional quizzes, it's going to be a full on party, and we hope our audience will embrace the theme with festive outfits, decorations and some very merry cheer. This Friday night in Tier 2 just got a whole lot more exciting!"

Entry to the Christmas Party Quiz costs £10 per household, which includes the link to the online and tickets for the prize raffle, with sign-ups available on the Naomi House website.

There's also a chance to buy more raffle tickets for a donation of £5.

As well as the Quiz itself, the night will also include other activities and games, including Pin the Nose on Rudolph, Christmas Bingo and a challenge to dress up as a Christmas tree!

Louise Gough, Fundraising Assistant for Naomi House & Jacksplace, said:

"My house is covered from head to toe in decorations, and I've got my best Christmas jumper at the ready for the big event! As part of the event, we are also hosting a Christmas Raffle, with some incredible prizes to give away, which we hope our generous supporters will take full advantage of."

All the money raised through the quiz will go towards the running costs at Naomi House and Jacksplace.

The charity needs to raise around £9.2 million every year to keep the children's hospice and its outreach care going.
