Pilot has lucky escape from helicopter crash

A pilot's managed to escape unhurt after his helicopter crashed into a field near Wareham.
Fire crews say the man had managed to get out of the wreckage by himself this afternoon after he crash landed on private land in Holton Heath.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DW Fire) issued a statement on their Facebook page:
"Earlier today crews from Poole Fire Station and Blandford Fire Station were called to a light aircraft crashed in the Holton Heath area.
"On arrival, crews found a helicopter had crash landed on private land. The cause is not yet known but thankfully the pilot managed to get out by himself & was uninjured!"
