Pubs, café and a bakery targeted in overnight raids
Five businesses were targeted
Police in the New Forest are investigating reports of business burglaries which occurred overnight from Monday (9 October) into Tuesday (10 October).
Officers received five reports of break-ins at businesses in Lymington, Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst.
While enquiries into these incidents remain ongoing, they're appealing for witnesses for information which may assist in our investigation.
Police are also very keen to hear from anyone who may have any CCTV, dash cam or doorbell camera footage of any of the incidents.
The details of the reported incidents are below:
- Between 10.30pm on Monday (9 October) and 7.20am on Tuesday (10 October), it is reported that entry was forced to the White Rabbit pub in Romsey Road, Lyndhurst. No items were stolen, but damage was caused. Incident number 44230414157 refers.
- Between 11pm on Monday (9 October) and 7.30am on Tuesday (10 October), it is reported that there was a break-in at The Ferryman in Undershore Road, Lymington. A safe was stolen and damage caused. Incident number 44230414316 refers.
- Between 8pm on Monday (9 October) and 9am on Tuesday (10 October), it is reported that Deep Blue Fish and Chip Shop, High Street, Lymington, was broken into. Nothing was stolen but damage was caused. Incident number 44230414319 refers.
- Between 5pm on Monday (9 October) and 8am on Tuesday (10 October), a burglary is reported to have occurred at The Retreat in Lyndhurst Road, Brockenhurst. On that occasion, money and sausage rolls were stolen from the café. Damage was also caused. Incident number 44230414498 refers.
- Between 5.30pm on Monday (9 October) and 6am on Tuesday (10 October), it is reported that there was a break-in at The Cornish Bakery in High Street, Lymington. No items were stolen, but damage was caused. Incident number 44230414253 refers.
