Southern Rail has confirmed there will be a heavily disrupted service along all west coastway routes this morning following a failure of the electrical supply between Brighton / Horsham and Havant.

The rail operator says whilst the service recovers, train services running between these stations may still be cancelled or delayed by up to 20 minutes.

They are advising passengers not to travel between Horsham, Barnham and Worthing.

Services between London Victoria and parts of West Sussex and Hampshire are also reduced.

Southern Rail said customers could use tickets with no extra cost on Stagecoach, South Western and Great Western services.

The rail operator has confirmed power has been restored and trains can run through the Arundel area once more.

But disruption is expected to continue until later this morning.

Stations most affected are in Amberley, Arundel, Ford, Littlehampton, Angmering, Goring-by-Sea and Durrington-on-Sea.
