Ten migrants found in back of lorry in Selsey

They've been taken into the custody of Border Force officials

Ten migrants have been taken into the custody of Border Force after being found in Selsey.

Police received reports that a lorry had been carrying the group in Chichester Road at around 3pm on Tuesday (December 8th).

Sussex Police said the group had been detained.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said:

"Officers attended and ensured the safety of the individuals inside the lorry.

"They were detained and Border Force, who are the lead agency, were informed and have taken over enquiries."

The Home Office has been approached for more information.
