We're well into the current series of The Great British Bake Off, but the show's co-host Noel Fielding has now taken the opportunity to unveil a new look! Ditching his trademark black hair, Noel has taken to Instagram showing off his new blond, yes blond locks!

Despite captioning his photo, 'This is not a selfie x', the pic shows a close-up of the TV presenter with his finger on his nose and new blond hair! But could it be a wig? Only time will tell.

Fans' reaction to his new look have been varied with some saying, 'No go back to black' and another saying, 'I still rate it'.

Whilst this new look might seem like a shock to many fans of GBBO, it's not the first time the actor has taken the plunge and gone for a blond look. Many years ago, when Noel starred in The IT Crowd as the Goth in the basement, Richmond, in one episode he showed off a new blond look.

Noel took over hosting the popular baking show last year when the show moved from the BBC to Channel 4. Along with the move the show said "goodbye" to baking icon Mary Berry.

Last week viewers of The Great British Bake off were left confused after there was an editing blunder. During the episode on the 18th September, contestants were challenged to make a roulade, along with the blind bake challenge, which was to make blancmange and langues de chat biscuits.

The signature bake then saw them create chocolate domes and hot sauce to melt the ball and reveal a delicious cake inside. However, during the showstopper reveals, there was a glitch where the programme showed presenter Sandi Toksvig head towards Rahul, leading many to believe that he'd won Star Baker once again!
