Hollywood stars were left looking shocked and bemused as Ryan Gosling was introduced at a German film ceremony, only for the man who walked on stage to look nothing like the La La Land leading man.

The man in question was actually Ludwig Lehner, who had fooled organisers at the Goldene Kamera awards that he was the real deal.

Ludwig said, "Good evening, I am Ryan Gosling, I dedicate this award to Joko and Klass, thank you very much."

As the audience looked puzzled he ended his speech by saying, "There a saying in Hamburg, which is bye bye." Skip to 2 minutes 28 seconds for the moment he comes on stage...

Nicole Kidman saw the funny side but Colin Farrell looked less than impressed...

The stunt came about when comedians Klass Heufer-Umlauf and Joko Winderscheidt created a fake acting agency and promised Gosling would be in attendance if he was invited on stage to accept an award.

Here's a better photo of Ludwig Lehner, who pretended to be Ryan Gosling.

The pranksters have released a video of how this all came to be...

For those not sure, this is the real deal at this year's Oscars...
