Hollyoaks viewers have been left reeling after last night's dramatic First Look episode. The scenes, which aired pre-watershed, saw Glenn Donovan discover that his own son Adam had been the one shopping him to the police.

Of course, that didn't exactly go down well with the businessman, who has his reputation and a LOT of money at stake. P.S last chance - there are spoilers below! Can't say we didn't warn you...

So Hollyoaks viewers saw Glenn promise to kill whoever was telling the police all about their dodgy dealings in a previous episode, and he thought he'd struck gold with Zack Loveday.

He took him into the woods with his son Adam, trying to make him be the one to pull the trigger and kill the young lad - but Adam then revealed that it was actually HIM who'd been working as a grass.

In true soap style, they had a MASSIVE row, with Adam storming off and screaming that his dad had never loved their family, leading Glenn to goad his son to shoot him.

Adam said he couldn't do it because he's a "better man" than his dad, giving Zack time to run away - but as Adam tried to make a run for it, his dad caught him up and shot him point blank in the chest.

He was then put in a bodybag and callously dumped at the side of the road... And who should find him but his wife, Maxine Minniver.

The scenes were too much for fans of the show, who took to Twitter to vent their emotions.

Jimmy Essex, who has played Adam on Hollyoaks since April 2016, will be sadly missed by both their fans and his castmates - many of whom took to social media to pay tribute to their colleague.

But after Sienna miraculously came back from the dead earlier this week, could the same happen for Adam? We hope so!
