Céline Dion shares the best piece of advice her late husband gave her

She shared his advice with hopefuls from TV show The Voice.

Superstar singer Céline Dion has shared the best piece of 'show business' advice that her late husband Rene Angelil ever gave her.

She is appearing on U.S. TV talent show The Voice as a guest mentor, and offered the valuable advice to the young hopefuls on the show. In the preview for the upcoming episode of The Voice, she says: “My husband is always with me. He said, ‘You cannot be good all the time. You have to be good when it’s time.’”

The 48-year-old singer lost her husband and manager of three decades back in January, 2016, after he lost his battle with cancer. But despite no longer being with her, Céline still lives by her husband's wise words.

On what persuaded her to take the role as mentor, Céline explained: “What I like about The Voice is I get to be stunned by amazing talents. This is the new generation.”

She is mentoring singer Gwen Stefani's team of performers, as the No Doubt singer has for a long time seen Céline as a huge musical idol. Well, naturally!

"She is so unique... Every song she puts out is a world song, she speaks to the world and that's a whole other level (than), 'Oh I made it as a pop star in America,'" Gwen said during an interview on Late Night With Seth Meyers. "She's (been) massive since she was 13 years old, so having her on the show was incredible."

Céline's latest project is Disney's live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast, in which she sings 'How Does A Moment Last Forever' over the end credits.
