Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, better known as the Pet Shop Boys, have announced the release date for the second set of albums in their 'Catalogue' of reissued albums.

This follows the band's announcement earlier in the year that they would be reissuing all 11 albums that had previously been released by Parlophone, during their amazing career spanning three decades.

This morning (31st August) the Pet Shop Boys tweeted a short video with the announcement saying, 'Pet Shop Boys announce that the second set of 'Catalogue' reissues, 'Yes' and 'Elysium', will be released on Oct 20th, 2017.'

The video also revealed the albums will be available as two CD and three CD boxsets, as well as downloadable, along with 'demos, remixes, bonus tracks and previously unreleased material'.

'Yes' was originally released in March 2009 and debuted at number four on the UK albums chart on release. It was also nominated for Best Electronic/Dance Album at the 2010 GRAMMY Awards. The band had two top 40 songs from the album, including 'Love Etc.' and 'Did You See Me Coming?'.

'Elysium' was released in 2012 and although the album didn't have many hit singles, it still reached the top 10 in the album chart.

The 'Catalogue' reissues of ‘Yes’ and ‘Elysium’ will go on sale on 20th October and fans pre-ordering the albums will be rewarded by getting two of the tracks instantly, ‘The Loving Kind (Monitor Mix)’ from ‘Yes’, and ‘Vocal (Demo)’ from ‘Elysium’.

The ‘Catalogue: 1985-2012’ reissue series began earlier this year on 28th July, with the release of ‘Nightlife’, ‘Release’ and ‘Fundamental’ which all entered the Top 40 album charts.

A few days ago the Pet Shop Boys uploaded a video to YouTube of them discussing the recording of their most guitar-heavy album, and the plan to introduce 'a totally new Pet Shop Boys' with ‘Release’.

All of the Pet Shop Boys' albums will be re-issued over the coming year and include:

'Bilingual' / Further listening: 1995-1997

'Very' / Further listening: 1992-1994

'Behaviour' / Further listening: 1990-1991

'Introspective' / Further listening: 1988-1989

'Actually' / Further listening: 1987-1988
