"Learner driver" dies after Barnsley crash
A 22 year old dies after a van hits a tree at Silkstone Common

A man aged 22 - believed to be a learner driver - has died after his van left the road and hit a tree.
It happened at Silkstone Common in Barnsley at 9.10am yesterday (Friday 20 May, 2022) on Ben Bank Road.
The victim was taken to hospital but died later.
A second man, who was a passenger in the VW Transporter, aged 57 was not hurt.
South Yorkshire Police would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened particularly the driver of a small car which overtook the van prior to the collision.
