We're hearing some nurses in South Yorkshire are now accessing food banks for help, as the cost of living has soared.
Inflation has risen by 5.4%, that's the highest its been since 1992.
Fuel, food and clothing have all become more expensive over the past year.
Paul Wood, the regional director for the Royal College of Nursing said:
"Just to pay people properly, so they can live off what they earn, and not do a valuable job and have to turn to food banks to maintain the ability to eat.
"Nurses pay, which started far behind other jobs, is falling further and further behind.
"The reality of that impact is people are finding themselves in a position where they just can't afford to pay their normal bills.
"Completely unbelievable and sickening to know that someone doing such a valuable job, can't live off their wage and it makes it completely understandable why they might chose to leave for a job in retail instead."
