A number of street parties have been taking place in South Yorkshire over the Bank Holiday weekend to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

It's been a similar picture across the entire country-with around 16,000 similar events going ahead nationally.

Glynn Haddon's been responsible for organising a street party on the Brindley estate in Sheffield.

It went ahead on Saturday from 1pm and he's pleased with how it went:

"It's brilliant to see this after the Covid-19 pandemic.

"It's really important to get to know your neighbours so you can help each other out, and events like this are great for building up that community spirit.

"During the pandemic, nobody saw each other, so it's a really good thing that we've all got together. I hope we can do it more often down the line.

"The Queen's done a fantastic job over the years and has been a constant for us all, so it feels great to put something like this on in her honour."
