20-year-old man punched and stabbed in Stoke-on-Trent

Staffordshire Police have launched an investigation.

A 20-year-old man has suffered stab wounds after being punched, and after he fell to the floor, stabbed twice in the back.

The incident happened on Mellor Street in Packmoor at about 8pm on Wednesday.

Detectives are keen for anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area between 7:30pm and 8:15pm to get in touch with them.

The victim is recovering after receiving hospital treatment.

The attackers are described as three youths, all aged around 16 to 17. One is described as white and wearing a grey tracksuit and blue face mask; the second as white and 5ft 6ins tall and wearing a black tracksuit.

A third youth is described as black, 5ft 9ins tall, with shoulder-length dreadlocks, and wearing a black tracksuit.
