Investigation underway after 11 year old boy robbed at knifepoint in Cannock

An investigation is underway after an 11 year old boy was robbed at knifepoint in Cannock

Police say it happened at around 3.30pm on Hednesford Road in Cannock on Monday, where the 11 year old was approached by a man on a mobility scooter.

He got off the scooter, pointed a knife at the boy and demanded his bag, which the boy handed over.

A member of the public saw what happened when he was driving a white Ford Fiesta in the area. He got out the car and shouted at the suspect who dropped the bag and ran off.

Police are now investigating, and are appealing for the member of the public to come forward, as they may hold vital information.

He is described as being white with short brown hair and having a muscular build. He was wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts and black Nike trainers. He also has a tattoo of a skull on the back of one of his hands.
