Man injured after 'hit and run' in Stoke-on-Trent

He remains in the Royal Stoke Hospital.

Detectives are investigating a 'hit and run' involving a car and a pedestrian in Lightwood, Stoke-on-Trent.

Police were called at 8.05pm last night (Sunday 16 May) to reports a man was injured on Lightwood Road.

The man, in his 60s, from Stoke-on-Trent, was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital. He remains in a stable condition and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The vehicle involved is believed to be a VW Golf and enquiries to locate the vehicle are ongoing.
