Ipswich Town has announced plans to show solidarity with Ukraine, as they welcome Lincoln City in League One tomorrow night (Tuesday 8th March).

The Imps will wear all-yellow for the match, with the hosts in an all-blue kit, the colours of the Ukrainian flag.

A large flag will also be displayed, with a minute's applause before kick-off, as well as a collection for the British Red Cross.

Town's CEO Mark Ashton said: “Everyone at Ipswich Town is horrified by what is happening in Ukraine.

“We want to show our full support for the people of Ukraine, and to all those who are suffering from this terrible conflict.

“The British Red Cross will be collecting around Portman Road, with all money raised going directly to Ukraine, so please dig deep where possible."

Ipswich Town has said "in times of adversity, football stands together. We ask that all supporters attending Tuesday’s game show their support in whatever way they can."
