Man has died after Bentley Collision

A man has now died following a road traffic collision in Bentley.

Police were called at around 7pm on Wednesday 17 May, to reports of a collision involving a car and two cyclists just off the A137 on Church Road in Bentley.

One cyclist, a man in his 40s, was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where he sadly died yesterday, Friday 19 May, despite the best efforts of medical personnel.

The other cyclist sustained minor injuries and was released from hospital after checks were conducted.

The road was closed for several hours while emergency services dealt with the incident and a collision investigation took place.

Officers would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision, and are also asking any motorists driving in the area at the time with any relevant dashcam footage.
