Pedestrian dies in crash on A14 at Coddenham

A pedestrian has died after a crash on the A14 near Coddenham last night.

Police were called to the eastbound carriagway at around 8:55pm, to reports of a person being hit by a vehicle.

They were pronounced dead at the scene - no-one else was injured.

The road remains closed eastbound at J51 with the A140, with police saying it's likely to stay shut for much of the morning.

Diversions are in place eastbound via Norwich Road running through Claydon and Westbound via the B1113 through Great Blakenham and Needham Market.
