Police appealing for witnesses after reported armed robbery in Ipswich

It's believed to have taken place at around 9:10pm on Thursday

Police are investigating a reported armed robbery at a convenience store in Ipswich.

It's believed two men entered the Co-Op on Clapgate Lane at around 9:10pm on Thursday.

Both wore balaclavas and hooded to obscure their faces, whilst one was reportedly armed with a crowbar, the other a knife.

Products including cigarettes were taken, whilst staff were also threatened during the incident, although were not harmed.

Both suspects are believed to have left the store in the direction of Landseer Park.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has information about the suspects, is being asked to contact Suffolk Police.

The first suspect was described as wearing white or cream jogging bottoms, a large navy mac-style rain coat and tan-coloured 'builders' boots.

The second suspect was described as wearing navy jogging bottoms. a navy zip-up hoody with a white logo, tan-coloured 'builders' boots, and one red, and one light-coloured glove.
