There's been 72 responses to plans to build one of Europe's biggest solar farms on the Suffolk and Cambridgeshire border.

The farm would be located across three sites and cover around 2,500 acres, costing £600 million.

Most of the responses were against the plans - with many citing concerns such as the impact on wildlife and the local horse-racing industry.

Sunnica says it has the potential to power over 170,000 homes and create 1,500 jobs.

A spokesperson for Sunnica said: "Our proposals for Sunnica Energy Farm have been informed by a thorough environmental impact assessment.

"This has led us to incorporate design features that will protect and, where possible, enhance the local environment. These features include ecological set asides, setbacks from homes and planting.

"Together, these make up more than a quarter of the project area.

"Overall, we expect Sunnica to create a net gain in biodiversity. We have committed to establish and fund an Ecology Advisory Group that would oversee and monitor ecological matters relating to Sunnica Energy Farm during its operating life."

A decision on whether or not the scheme will go ahead will be made by 7th March.
