Officers were called by the Ambulance Service at 10.25pm on Friday 2 February to reports of a single-vehicle collision in Summer Road, where a silver Ford Fiesta left the road to the nearside and collided with a tree.

The 18-year-old driver of the car sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, where he has now sadly died.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and asking any motorists driving in the area at the time of the incident with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle to review the footage.
