Warning to Bury St Edmunds tradespeople after van thefts

Police are appealing for information and have issued a warning for tradespeople in particular to be vigilant.

Police are appealing for information and warning tradespeople in particular to be vigilant, following the theft of tools from vans in Bury St Edmunds.

The first incident occurred in Bright Close between 6pm on Friday 9 February and 11am on Saturday 10 February where a van was broken into and a toolbox was stolen. The toolbox was later found in a nearby road.

A second theft occurred in Bright Close between 8pm on Friday 9 February and 12pm on Sunday 11 February, where entry was gained to a van by drilling a hole in a side door and hand tools were stolen.

There was a third incident in a car park behind Banks Walk, which took place between 4pm on Friday 9 February and 7.50am on Tuesday 13 February, a hole was made in a side door panel and various hand tools were stolen.
